The first villager to move out

This isn’t creepy at all.

Denver, CO-based artists Deepti Nair and Harikrishnan Panicker, collectively known as Hari & Deepti (previously featured here), have created a brand new series of their fantastically-themed and exquisitely detailed paper light box sculptures. Entitled “Oh, The Places You Will Go!”, these pieces are currently being shown as part of an exhibition at the Black Book Gallery in Denver.

"The artist couple were inspired by recent travels through Moab, Utah and Yellowstone, Wyoming, and transformed elements of their adventures into delicately hand-cut paper sculptures infused with mythology and science fiction. Each piece is lit from behind or below with LED strips and the boxes are exhibited in dark rooms to enhance the effect."

Hari & Deepti will also be showing work this December at Art Basel Miami 2014 for the Scope International Contemporary Art Show.

To check out more of Hari & Deepti’s wonderful creations visit the Black Book Gallery website and keep up with their latest work on Instagram

This is The Underwold Shaman. He travels between the underworld and our world all the time, talks to non material beings and guide them from one world to another. This Shaman is very calm and humble. He spends a lot of time on the shore staring at the water and listening to the whispers from ocean spirits.

27cm (10 inches) tall. Details are cast in resin. His body is handsewn and has high quality ball socket armature inside, so you don’t have to worry that the armature will snap or break. This doll is well balanced, can stand on its own, fully posable, head, hands and feet can be rotated.

His eyes are made of glass and created by my friend and awesome glassblower Natalie Amber.

His charm is made of resin pigeon skull replica made by Skullery ( https://www.etsy.com/no-en/shop/skullery ) dyed acai seeds and dyed howlite beads. His cloth and arm bandages are made of leather, tied up with hemp cord. On his belt he wears beached norwegian coin, fossilised shark tooth, piece of calcite, decorated with wooden beads.

Each one of my dolls comes with a wooden tag signed and dated proofing that this is an original doll made by Remjie.

Attention! This is a piece of art. Not a toy for small children. Completely handmade, one of a kind.

!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been watching this guy’s livestreams for a few days now. He’s super positive and really nice to all his viewers, answering everything he can. Also considering his abilities he is really good at Diablo III and WoW. Like the fact that I could have been playing WoW with people like him and getting my ass handed to me by them is part of the reason I appreciate video games as a form of therapy.

"I’m really feeling good about myself!"

This makes me SO happy. Amazing!
